About Decker Tape
Our Story
Founded in 1969 by George Decker in a modest garage with just one machine and an unwavering drive, Decker Tape has evolved into a leading provider of pressure-sensitive tapes and labels. Over the years, we’ve combined product excellence, application expertise, and innovative capabilities to become a trusted partner for businesses across industries.
Who We Are
Decker Tape is a family business in every sense of the word. Since its founding, it has been owned and operated by the Decker family. Today, it’s managed by George’s sons, Jack and Tom Decker, continuing the legacy of dedication and growth. While we could field a baseball team with our family members, our most valuable asset is our team of 150+ employees—many of whom have been with us for over 25 years. We are proud to maintain a balance of being small enough to care and big enough to deliver on our promises.
What We Do
Decker Tape Products specializes in converting and printing pressure-sensitive tapes and labels. We don’t manufacture adhesives ourselves; instead, we source high-quality, coated products both domestically and internationally. At our 100,000-square-foot facility in East Hanover, NJ, we complete the finishing stages of manufacturing, known as converting. With over half a century of expertise and an advanced fleet of converting equipment, we meet the diverse needs of our clients.
What This Means for You
Our extensive product range and converting capabilities enable us to offer one of the broadest selections in the industry. From standard 2" x 110-yard carton sealing tape to custom five-color printed tapes and specialty double-coated tapes with red ribbons, we provide what you need, when you need it. Decker Tape is committed to being your “Total Tape Solution.”
